Tarron Estes is the founder and director of the Conscious Dying Institute of Boulder, Colorado, faculty at the Watson Caring Science Institute (WCSI), and adjunct faculty at the University of Colorado School of Nursing. She is a member of the NHPCO End of Life Doula Advisory council and founding member of NEDAlliance.org.
She facilitates “Sacred Passage: End of Life Doula Certificates”; “Conscious Dying Coach Certificates,” and “Conscious Dying Educator Certificates” in the U.S. and Canada, certifying over 1,500 End of Life Doulas since 2015. Tarron is also a healthcare consultant and curriculum developer for nurses and clinical staff in human caring and conscious dying education for large systems like Kaiser Permanente.
Tarron’s work supports anyone who desires to serve patients and families before, during, and after the final moments of life. As a strategic business partner In healthcare and palliative innovation, she has over 28 years of experience leading nonprofit organizations and corporations supporting patients, families, caregivers, and health professionals toward personal, professional, and system-wide transformation.
As a faculty with WCSI, she designed and facilitated the “Human Caring Program” for over 500 nursing staff of Kaiser Permanente’s 21 hospitals in Northern California, creating positive improvements in patient satisfaction and nurse patient communication.
